You should be more helpful to people who are in need. That's a true statement. But is that the main point that Jesus is making when He tells one of His most famous parables? Today we cover what is often referred to as the "Parable of the Good Samaritan." By looking at it in its context, I think we'll get a clearer, deeper, more accurate sense of what Jesus was saying to a lawyer, what Luke was saying to His audience, and what God is saying to us today.
