Abraham takes another wife. God gives them more children. But, he gives his fortune to Isaac. When he dies, he is buried beside Sarah, and the blessing of the Lord goes to Isaac. Ishmael helps Isaac bury their father. God is true to His word, and He has given Ishmael many sons just like He said. Ishmael remains a wild man. As generations come and go, the writer takes care to show how God's word is fulfilled, His mission continues, and His grace abounds. Praise the God of every grace!
