Suffering often pushes us to pray. We often pray that God delivers us from suffering. Sometimes He does. But sometimes His will is, instead, to strengthen us for suffering. Today we'll see Jesus praying and being betrayed in the garden. In all of it, it's clear that Jesus is willingly submitting Himself to the Father's will even as He is strengthened to suffer the Father's wrath for us.
