In a series that will emphasize how we are to be different from the world around us (holiness), we must not forget that this is becasue we worship God who is like no other. Our God is holy. In today's passage, Isaiah is preparing God's peole to live in a land filled with other gods. While the gods we are surrounded by may look different, we are still surrunded and we must fight remdember that there is no one like our God.
