Jesus is the long-awaited King of Israel, the true Son of God, the one who is given authority by the Father to judge. He should be welcomed as such. But in today's passage, we will see that Jesus is instead abused, mocked, condemned, and ultimately delivered over the be crucified. How should we respond to Jesus in light of this?
