At this time of year, the darkness comes early and stay long. We anticipate, we long for the coming light. This year, to help us prepare for Christmas, we go back to a book written about 700 years before the birth of Jesus, in a time of darkness. Much of the book seems dark. Yet, each week we will see more of what our God is like and we will get some glimmers of a coming light. May God increase our anticipation, our longing, and our hope as we look for the coming of the Son.
