It is easy to notice and point out sin in others while failing to acknowledge our own sin. We are prone to practicing "selective condemnation." But the truth is we all sin and deserve condemnation. We need Jesus to remind us that we're all sinners and that it's only Him who can take the condemnation we deserve so that we can be forgiven. And then, having received his mercy, we must also hear His call to holiness.
