Our journey through Genesis has reached the final stage. In the early chapters we covered creation, fall, flood, and Babel. And then we slowed down to focus primarily on one family. Abraham fathers Isaac who fathers Jacob. Jacob (aka Israel) has 12 sons and this final stage of Genesis zooms in on them, particularly on Judah but especially on Joseph. Today's passage sets the stage for the rest of the book.
